Academic Excellence

Homevision founder Kirstin Küsel is registered as professional architect at the SA Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).  She graduated with a  5-year B. Arch (Cum Laude) degree and an MSc (Specializing in architecture) (Cum Laude) at the University of Pretoria. During her studies, she was awarded as best 4th year student (design) and best final year student (building science). She is currently an executive MBA student the US online, Quantic School of Business and Technology.  

Innovation and R&D

Homevision was founded in 2005 and first marketed to homeowners at Decorex, Jhb. Since then, Kirstin Kusel continuously strived to develop better processes and services for homeowners. She successfully completed 70+ residential projects across SA, initiated several R&D projects, wrote several peer reviewed papers and delivered presentations at industry conferences, In 2013, Kirstin initiated the first building information modelling (BIM) centre in SA at The Building Centre, at Northgate, CT with industry partners Swartland and Graphisoft SA.  

Business awards

Homevision has won various business awards. These include:  11th place nationwide Mckinsey/National Institute of Business start-up competition (2002); 3rd place growth track, Cape Town Entrepreneur competition (2011); Winner Microsoft US disruptive business pitch competition at the Women President Organization (WPO) annual, global conference, Baltimore, US for Cloudhome® and CloudEstate®  business idea. Here is Kirstin with Fernando Hernandez,  Director Supplier Diversity, Global Procurement Group, Microsoft, 2016.
